The Mall

This past weekend, we went to the mall. The boys were very excited. In fact, they yelled the entire time. They were having the best time and wanted EVERYBODY to know about it. They talked at the top of their lungs. While we were walking through the mall they got the attention of everyone around them.

At your feet

Asher and Cache are very fast movers. They don't exactly crawl, but it works. Asher flops like a fish and Cache does the Army crawl with perfection. They are fast! They also follow you around exploring and checking things out...like a little puppy. Mom and Dad catch themselves calling them like a puppy. Saying, "Come on Asher and Cache you can do it!".

Cache likes to follow you to your destination, but be carried back into the living room. He freaks out when you walk away and leave him in a room by himself. So we usually end up picking him up and bringing him back into the living room. Yeah, we know that he wins, but the smile on his face when you pick him up is so darn cute.

Asher is obsessed with standing. He pulls up on everything. When he gets up he yells at the top of his lungs in pure joy. And, he expects you to share it too!

We have a lot of "talking" going on around our house.

New Crib

When you talk about having twins most people ask "oh, they must love each other so much...are they best friends?" The answer to both of those questions is yes. The love each other so much. You can see it in their eyes when they play with each other or "talk" to each other. They can make each other laugh harder than any of us can. Since getting the boys we have tried to encourage the togetherness with the boys hoping it would provide security to them during our bonding time. They slept together, ate together, etc.

Fighting comes along with this intense love for one another. We knew the boys would fight as all siblings do. We never expected fighting at such a young age! One minute they will be playing with each other and the next they are fighting! Asher has already had a small shiner from Cache kicking him. Cache has had his hair pulled so hard it brought him to tears.

We finally had to separate them at night after Cache bit Asher on the stomach during nap time. Putting up the second crib was a mess in itself. Grandma Barbara, Papa H, Mom and Dad were all working on it. We tried to put the crib together with the wrong hardware and could not figure out the problem. Both of the cribs were the same brand. Finally after calls to Lewisville and fighting with each other, Dad finally realized we were trying to put the crib together with the wrong hardware. Once we found the right hardware it was up in no time. A comedy of errors.

The boys are sleeping like logs; especially Asher.

Dog food

Saturday morning after breakfast, mom was in the kitchen cleaning up and the boys were in the living room playing. Or, so mom thought. Cache was playing in the living room and having a great time. Asher aka Christopher Columbus, set out on an expedition.

Mom could hear Asher talking and getting closer, so she assumed that he was coming in the kitchen to see her as he often does. On his way, he found something that must have looked scrumptious! He knocked over Beggs's dog food bowl and starting chowing down. Mom should have known better, because Asher got very quiet during his smorgasbord.

Mom came around the corner to find out what he was up to because it had to be something, he was just too quiet. She came around the corner to find Asher on his belly with dog food around him and a mouth and fist full of dog food. He just didn't understand why he couldn't eat Beggs's food. He tried to bite Mom when she tried to pry his mouth open to get the dog food out!
